Regions Bank has announced that Kate Danella, head of its Consumer Banking group, has again been honored by American Banker magazine as one of the 25 Most Powerful Women in Banking.
This recognition, now in its 23rd year, celebrates executives whose leadership drives substantial business and financial impact for their organizations, customers, and communities. Danella’s acknowledgment appears in the magazine’s October issue.
This marks her fourth consecutive year receiving this specific honor, and her seventh consecutive year overall being recognized for her leadership at Regions.
Driving Customer-Centric Banking

Career and Achievements
Danella joined Regions in 2015 as Wealth Strategy and Effectiveness Executive. She later led Private Wealth Management and served as head of Strategic Planning and Consumer Bank Products. Before joining Regions, she spent 13 years in leadership roles in sales, strategy, client services, and marketing at Capital Group Companies.
She was promoted to lead the Consumer Banking group in 2022. The group includes Regions’ retail branch network, mortgage, and home improvement financing, making it the bank’s largest business line.
